July Book Haul

Okay so... I got an insane amount of books last month. And when I say insane, I mean INSANE. After this post, you'll agree with me. Basically this month was my birthday month and I obviously got presents from family and friends and family friends (hahaha I'm so punny. I need to stop I'm sorry). I have been wanting to do a book haul on here for a while and this seems like the perfect opportunity. I'll also be including bookish items at the end as well. Anyways, ON WITH THE MADNESS!!

PHOTOGRAPH IS MINE INSTA: @eviesbooks

These first two books came from my lovely Aunt Danielle (A.K.A my mother's best friend and good family friend). Thank you so much for getting these two for me! I love them!
  • The Shadow Queen by C.J. Redwine
I love retellings, and this one intrigued me. I want to keep the premises vague for myself because I just want to dive right into this story.

  • Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
I am super excited to read this book, and I hope it's amazing! I loved SYBG and I am very excited to read another one of her books. I have a review of SYBG but I forgot to link it and I don't feel like doing that so, lol sorry. Just click the review tab if you want to read it.

The next books are from my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins! Thank you guys for these amazing presents!
  • Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
Yes, I got two copies of this book. I think that I'll just return one for another book. I wanted to do a giveaway, but that probably won't happen for a while lol.
  • Nobody's Prize by Esther Frienser
I read Nobody's Princess and I loved it, so I asked for the second book to continue on with the series. NP is an amazing book, and you should totally read it hehe.

  • Rebel Spring, Gathering Darkness, and Frozen Tides all by Morgan Rhodes
These are books 2-4 in the Falling Kingdoms series, and I'm absolutely going to love them! I became obsessed with this story after reading Falling Kingdoms and I can't wait to continue on with this series.

//goodreads//goodreads//goodreads// (in order listed above)
  • The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
Does anybody notice a reoccurring theme? Anyways, ever since this came out I've been wanting to read it, so I of course asked for it, and I got it! Honestly, who doesn't love Morgan's writing?!

//goodreads//

These next two books are from my lovely brother and sister who got me some amazing books that I'm very excited to read (plus they have gorgeous covers :P ).
  • Love Letters To The Dead by Ava Dellaira
This book seems pretty intense and very sad. I don't normally aim for the depressing/cry-worthy areas of contemporary, but I am excited to read this because it does interest me.

//goodreads//
  • Cruel Crown by Victoria Aveyard (novella)
I LOVED the first two books in the Red Queen trilogy (review and book talk here) and I want to immerse myself back into the world before I jump into the third one, and this novella will be a great way to do so without rereading a the first two (although I want to do that at some point).

These next three books are from my friends. Thank you three so much for these books! I know I'll love them!

From my friends Catie and Hannah:
  • Off The Page by Jodi Piccoult and Samantha Van Leer
This mother-daughter duo wrote the ever so intriguing and lovely story Between The Lines (review here). This is the sequel that you can either read before or after the first one. I am so excited to read about Oliver and Delilah again, it'll be so adorable.

From my friend Namratha:
  • The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
I honestly have no idea what this is about, but this is one of her favorite books (and she never reads) so I figure it's worth a shot.

  • Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I read and LOVED Six Of Crows (review here), and now I'm intrigued to start this story! The books she got me were a total surprise, and now I have two new books to read!

//goodreads//

These next books are all from my Aunt Shel (she co-runs bibliojunkies along with my mother and a close family friend). Basically every year she takes me shopping and says I can spend $80 and gets me a book of my choice. So, I spent all of that money on books (of course lol). Thank you so much Aunt Shel haha. Sorry about the total book mayhem.
  • Love & Gelato by Jena Evans Welch
This is going to be such an adventure and fun time to read! I just can't wait!! AHHH!

  • This Is What Happy Looks Like by Jennifer E. Smith
I've seen this author's books around a bit and I have been wanting one for a while. It was only $3.95 and 2nd & Charles, so I just got it.

//goodreads//
  • Alice In Zombieland by Gena Showalter
I have been wanting to read this for a long time, and I've heard great things about it. This was also $3.95 at 2nd so I just got it. It's in pristine condition too!

//goodreads//
  • Until Friday Night by Abbi Glines
My Aunt recommended it to me and I want a contemporary I can review and read all year round, so this is perfect hehe.

//goodreads//
  • I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
This book has been on my radar for a pretty long time, and I saw it and had to pick it up. I already know this is going to be amazing soooo.... AHAHAHA. lol.

//goodreads//
  • Landry Park by Bethany Hagen
I met Bethany at a bookish convention and she talked about her book and I remember that I wanted it. I found it yay!

//goodreads//
  • Lux Consequences by Jennifer L. Armentrout
I loved Lux Beginnings (book 1 review click here) and I got Lux Opposition, but in order to read that, I need to read Lux Consequences, so I have it. AAAND, I got the floppy paperback edition so yay! :)

//goodreads//
  • The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater
As some of you may know, I didn't really enjoy The Raven Boys (review here). But then my friend who read it around the same time I did had the EXACT same opinion on the book as me, but she continued and said that it progressively got better with each book. Since she is a very strong opinionated person, I decided to continue as well, and to do that, I need book two.

  • Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
Well, looks like this month I completed my Matson collection.

//goodreads//
  • Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
I don't normally find that Dessen's books appeal to me, but this one speaks to me so, I thought that I would give this a try.

//goodreads//

And finally, these last two books my mother purchased for me. I went to an author disscussion thing and a release party, so that's why I got them.
  • The Land of Stories: An Author's Odyssey by Chris Colfer (book five)
I love everything about this series and can't wait to continue. To read my review of book one, click here

//goodreads//
  • Harry Potter And The Cursed Child
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

//goodreads//

Thank you all so much for reading today's post! I am so tired and hunryy right now. I have to go before I die. Okayyy bye.
