Real Recommendations 1; Royally Lost

Hello all! Today I'm going to be starting a new feature on here called Real Recommendations. This is essentially me recommending you  a book you most likely have never heard of/read. That's where we get the "real" part of the name. In a lot of recommendation posts, people tend to recommend books most have heard of (i.e. Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas). I wanted to give you some recommendations that will allow you to explore different worlds you may have otherwise dismissed from your radar.

Today, I wanted to recommend to you Royally Lost by Angie Stanton. This book is a contemporary following two characters, Nikolai and Becca.

Dragged on a family trip to Europe’s ancient cities, Becca wants nothing more than to go home. Trapped with her emotionally distant father, over-eager stepmother, and a brother who only wants to hook up with European hotties, Becca is miserable. That is until she meets Nikolai, a guy as mysterious as he is handsome. And she unknowingly finds herself with a runaway prince.

Nikolai has everything a guy could ask for-he's crown prince, heir to the throne, and girls adore him. But the one thing he doesn't have...is freedom. Staging a coup, he flees his kingdom and goes undercover on his own European tour.

When Nikolai and Becca meet, it’s their differences that draw them together. Sparks fly as they share a whirlwind of adventures, all the while dodging his royal guard. But Becca's family vacation ends in a matter of days. Will Nikolai and Becca be forced to say goodbye forever, will his destiny catch up to him, or will they change history forever?

I've read this book on multiple occasions, and never once have I not enjoyed it. This book is a light-hearted contemporary that houses some dark stuff, such as loss. This book deals with everything well, and doesn't hide that Becca does still have trouble thinking about her lost one. I think that is a powerful message for everyone dealing with loss. It's shows that you don't have to hide the fact that you have trouble still thinking about the loved one you lost, and you can always confide in someone to help you through your troubles. Stanton's message rings loud and clear for all of us who have lost someone we care about deeply, and also shows us that mourning the ones we don't know is still an important part of human nature.

The characters are SO CUTE. Becca and Nikolai are freaking ADORABLE. I still squeal while thinking about their relationship. It was well developed and such a fun adventure. Watching their relationship develop is one of the best parts about this whole book. Their realationship is ABORABLE I CAN'T STOP SQUEALING!!!

happy reactions excited minions yay

This book is such a great ride and I hope you all consider reading this because it is definitely worthwhile. Anyways, see you guys in a new post soon!
