The Coffee Book Tag
Hey guys! Today I thought I would do the coffee book tag! I love doing book tags and coming up with different books to fit different definitions. Before we start I want to mention that I am not bashing out at any authors and I'm not trying to personally offend anyone. These are just my opinions. Let's get started!
1) Black~ Name a series that's tough to get into, but has hardcore fans.
I have two answers for this. The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I personally had a bit of a difficult time getting into the series, but loved it once I read it. I haven't finished yet though, so no spoilers! The second series is the Maze Runner Trilogy by James Dashner. I tried to push through the first one, but I just couldn't get into it. It became a bore and I eventually gave up on trying to read it. I love James Dashner, but that was not my favorite book of his.
2) Peppermint Mocha~ Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of the year.
I can't really think of anything besides My True Love Gave to Me by Holly Black, Ally Carter, Matt de La Peña, Gayle Forman, Jenny Han, David Levithan, Kelly Link, Myra McEntire, Rainbow Rowell, Stephanie Perkins, Laini Tayler and Kiersten White. I haven't personally read any of the stories, but I hope to soon because I love many of the authors.
3) Hot Chocolate~ What's your favorite children's book?
I love the Percy Jackson series and read them when I was very, very young. I have re-read them quite a lot and always enjoy them. I loved the Heroes of Olympus series as well and hope to read all of the PJO books again soon.
4) Double Shot of Espresso~ Name a book that kept you on edge from start to finish.
I also have two books for this. The whole Harry Potter series was FANTASTIC!! The writing was phenomenal and the characters/character development was amazing. I hope to read more from other POV's soon. The other book was Royally Lost by Angie Stanton. Angie Stanton is definitely one of my favorite authors. She writes the most adorable contemporaries and I love her so much. Her characters always have a fun personality and I love every book I've read from her so far.
5) Starbucks~ Name a book you see everywhere.
Papertowns. This book was definitely full of surprises, but for some odd reason I was dissatisfied with the end. I did love every character, but this book sort of put me in a reading slump.
6) Hipster Coffee Shop~ Give a shout- out to your favorite indie author.
I'm going to do an author with indie characters. One of my favorite indie characters was Hazel Grace Lancaster. If you don't know who that is then get out. She is such an independent individual and I love her for it. Her personality is also really likable.
7) Oops! I accidentally got decaf~ Name a book you were expecting more from.
If I Stay. Let's just say I hated Mia and it was a bore. The only characters I grew emotionally attached to were Teddy and Adam.
8) The Perfect Blend~ name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.
The Throne Of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. Not all of the books are out since it's going to be a six book series, but from what I've read it's fabulous. There are of course many more books that are "the perfect blend" but I'm going to leave it at that.
So that wraps up today's post. Had fun making this tag and hope I can do more in the future. If you enjoy tags, and have one I can do leave it in the comments and I'll get to it soon!
